The Case of the Fraying Bid

A public-sector bid had an AI section full of ambition, but the delivery story would not survive serious scrutiny.

What landed on our desk

Context: The prime already had the relationship, the deadline, and the commercial pressure. What it lacked was a clean explanation of what the AI workflow actually did, how it would be governed, and why the client should believe it could be delivered on time.

The real problem: The risk was not just losing marks on elegance. A weak AI section could create delivery doubt across the whole bid and leave the account team defending promises no one wanted to inherit after submission.
